The Extra Man [2010]

The Extra Man is a comedy film based on a novel by Jonathan Ames. The film stars Kevin Kline, Paul Dano, Katie Holmes and John C. Reilly. The film revolves around a failed playwright Henry (Kline), who develops an odd mentor relationship with a troubled and aspiring writer Louis (Dano), when he sublets a room in his New York apartment to him. Henry teaches Louis the art of being an 'Extra Man'; accompanying and entertaining wealthy older women in their fanciful social lives.
