The American [2010]

The American is a 2010 drama/thriller film starring George Clooney. It is an adaptation of the 1990 novel A Very Private Gentleman by Martin Booth about an assassin hides out in Italy for one last assignment. While awaiting his assignment, Jack (Clooney) seeks out the friendship of local priest Father Benedetto and pursues romance with local woman Clara. But by stepping out of the shadows, Jack may be tempting fate.
