The Eagle [2011]

The Eagle is a 2011 film adaptation of the 1954 historical adventure The Eagle of the Ninth by Rosemary Sutcliff. The film stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell, Donald Sutherland and Mark Strong. It is set in the second century AD and tells of a young Roman officer's search to honor his father's memory by finding his lost legion's golden emblem and to discover the truth about the disappearance of his father's legion in the north of Britain.
