Jumping the Broom is an upcoming American comedy film starring Angela Bassett, Mike Epps, Gary Dourdan, and Julie Bowen. The title of the film is derived from the African American tradition of bride and groom jumping over a ceremonial broom after being married. The plot revolves around two very different families, who live on opposite sides of the social circle, who converge on Martha's Vineyard one weekend for a wedding.
